As a company dedicated to feeding families, we are thrilled to be launching our fourth annual volunteer initiative, Ingredients for Good, focused on addressing the issue of food insecurity for the whole family.
At Post Consumer Brands, we believe it’s our responsibility to help those in need. By coming together in April for our annual Ingredients for Good volunteer initiative, we encourage employees to participate in on-site volunteer projects that aim to help families and their pets facing food insecurity in the communities where we live and work.
Since our first initiative in April 2022, we continue to expand our impact by developing volunteer projects that aim to combat food insecurity, not just for people, but also for their beloved pets.
During the month of April, we will be supporting local food banks and food shelves in our communities with donations of time, food and money to ensure community access to food. Because of the ever-growing demand for food assistance during the pandemic and due to rising food prices, these organizations and the people they serve can use our support more than ever.
It’s estimated that nearly 44 million people in the United States and Canada live in food-insecure households, including over 13 million children and 30 million pets.
As part of our commitment to strengthening our local communities, Ingredients for Good is an opportunity for all our North America locations to come together to address the issue of food insecurity in an impactful and unified way. Each Post Consumer Brands location will be organizing volunteer opportunities with local nonprofit organizations that are helping to fight hunger in their communities.
