No matter where you’re sitting down to a bowl of Post® cereal, the journey from the cooking process to reaching your table might be shorter than you think! Our team at Post Consumer Brands® works hard to transport cereal safely and sustainably from our distribution centers to your favorite grocery stores.
Watch this video to learn about the transportation process behind your go-to Post cereal brand – from our manufacturing plants to your cereal bowl:
Where Does Your Bowl of Post Cereal Come From?
It starts at our 10 manufacturing plants across the U.S. and Canada. From there, our truckloads of cereal will head to one of eight distribution centers strategically located across the U.S.:
- Sparks, Nevada
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- Northfield, Minnesota
- Wilmington, Illinois
- Byhalia, Mississippi
- Groveport, Ohio
- Atlanta, Georgia
- York, Pennsylvania
After a stop at the retailers’ distribution centers, our cereals are off to your preferred grocery store – whether a large retailer like Walmart and Kroger, a big box store like Costco, or specialty stores like Trader Joe’s and Aldi.
Sustainable Cereal Transportation
We are constantly seeking new and impactful methods of preserving our environment and pushing for a more sustainable future through our day-to-day operations. Post Consumer Brands is part of SmartWay Shippers – an EPA program that helps companies advance supply chain sustainability through efficient transportation. Using advanced fuel-saving technologies like electric terminal tractors and reducing freight transportation emissions will help minimize the consumer packaged goods industry’s carbon footprint.
Our entire transportation process is handled by our dedicated team members who work together 24/7 to ensure our products are continuously available to ship – so you can always enjoy a fresh and delicious bowl of Post cereal.
